With the new grassroots football season now upon us, we're delighted to update you on some developments at Maidenbower Park.
We've been working closely together with Crawley Borough Council over the last year to increase the support for our football club and for Maidenbower-based community football in general. We have lots more exciting news to reveal about this in the coming weeks, but, as a first step, we're thrilled to confirm that we now have enough pitches at the Park to accommodate all our age groups - from 7v7 right up to the Senior First Team.
This means that the large majority of Panthers home matches can now be played in Maidenbower rather than at various pitches dotted around Crawley which has been the case in previous seasons. This is great news for the club as it means we can really take advantage of playing "at home" and it will help to build the reputation of the club in the wider community. In the long term, this makes it easier to attract new players, coaches, volunteers and sponsors.
We would also like to thank the Maidenbower Park Community Club who have been very supportive in our discussions with the Council and in developing a partnership with us to better the serve the Maidenbower community in the future.
Look out for lots more exciting news about this over the coming weeks and enjoy the new football season ahead. COME ON YOU PANTHERS!!
